East Lancashire Hospice Is a specialist centre that provides love and care
services to the communities of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley
serving a population of some 385,000.
The Hospice is committed to meeting the needs of people with active,
progressive or advanced life threatening diseases. By providing specialist
palliative care it promotes the highest quality of life for patients,
whilst continuing to support their families and carers.
Care is given unconditionally and totally free of charge to those who
need it, irrespective of age, sex, race, religious belief or sexual orientation
East Lancashire provides:
• In-patient care: 10
bedded unit providing palliative care
• Day-Therapy: Specialist palliative care for up to 100 patients per week
• Out-patients: Aromatherapy, Reiki, Reflexology Hypnotherapy
• Hospice @ Home: Professional nursing care in the patients own home

Bereavement: Bereavement & spiritual care available for al families
• Lymphoedema Clinics: Specialist treatment by trained professionals
• Breathlessness Clinics: Specialist treatment by trained professionals
• Physiotherapy Clinics. Specialist treatment by trained professionals
